Beef Chorizo Sausage Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS

  • - 1 pound Certified Angus Beef ® ground beef, 80% lean
  • - 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • - 1 tablespoon paprika
  • - 2 teaspoons cumin
  • - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • - 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • - 1/8 teaspoon allspice (optional)

Preparation

  1. MAKE SAUSAGE. Season ground beef with chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, oregano, cinnamon and allspice; mix well to combine all ingredients.
  2. Preheat a 12-inch non-stick skillet to medium high; add seasoned beef in an even layer. Allow to brown for 2 minutes then begin to break up beef with a wooden spoon or spatula. Sear 6 to 7 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked through and browned.
