Summer Cookout with Tony’s Fresh Market
Summer is here and it’s time to celebrate with some good food.
Who doesn’t love an oldfashioned summer cookout with family and friends? In Chicago, we really only have a short time to get outside and enjoy our summer weather. That’s why it’s so important to get your summer cookout food just right!
Of course, I love the staples like hot dogs on the grill or my grandma’s pasta salad. But, I also like to try new recipes that take a whole new spin on the traditional summer cookout food. So, I’ve created a list of some delicious cookout recipes that everyone will love. From appetizers to desserts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Making these appetizers are quick and easy (especially with Tony’s olive bar). Handheld and versatile, all you have to do is pick a few of your favorite olives, cheese, and meat. We also think that the Antipasto Skewers would make a great addition to any brunch in a Bloody Mary.
BBQ Meatballs in a crockpot are party essentials at any of my family parties. But, these Blackberry BBQ Meatballs really impress with a sweet, fruity taste that pairs perfectly with Simek’s Meatballs.
If you’re looking to bring something for an evening get-together, then look no further than this Vegetarian Chili Dip. It’s so easy to make and it’s a great vegetarian alternative. Of course, you’ll want to part your chili dip with some Tony’s chips.
A summer cookout wouldn’t be complete without burgers. But adding a little style to this summer favorite will impress your guests. Dress your burger up however you like, but I’m a big fan of the Taco Burger! Add on some extra guacamole and diced red onion – wow!
Dressed to impress both your eyes and your taste buds, this Spinach & Chicken Bowtie Pasta Salad goes way beyond your traditional pasta salad. I love the sweet touch of mandarins and the crunch of dry roasted peanuts. Mixed with a light dressing and fresh baby spinach, this is a healthy go-to that’s perfect for a summer cookout.
A cool, refreshing dessert that perfectly sums up summer is a sweet Lemon Poke Cake. Topped with a lemon pie mix and whipped cream, you’ll be stunned at how easy this recipe is. It also makes a great pairing for summery cocktails like a peach punch or strawberry mojitos.
Of course, I had to save the absolute best for last! This Cream-Filled Brownie Cake is beautifully decorated and tastes incredible. The layers of cake, brownie, and then cream inside the cake give it a fantastic texture. I also love how all three layers come together. If you’re looking for a summery cake that everyone will want a piece of, then you won’t want to look any further.
